European Championships Series – Weiterstadt (Germany)

Last weekend, rounds 5&6 of the European Championships Series were held in Weiterstadt (Germany).

The Formula BMX Team had 3 riders competing.

Rune Deburchgraeve was making his European debut for the Team.  He made it all the way to the Main Event on Saturday in which he ended up in 7th place. On Sunday, he was eliminated with a 5th place in the semis after a bad start.

In Elite Women, Sandra Aleksejeva crashed in her first moto on Saturday. She couldn’t avoid a crashed rider and went off her bike, injuring her ankle. Her racing weekend was over after the first moto, but we hope she will be ready to race again in 2 weeks.

Edžus Treimanis was on a roll this weekend. He was putting in some solid laps on both days and took second place in both mains.  Edžus moves up to second place in the ranking.

Next Rounds of the European Championships Series will be held in Ängelholm (Sweden) in 10 days.

Double Win for Treimanis

Formula Europe’s Edžus Treimanis doubled during the Latvian Openings Weekend at the Riga BMX Track, host of the European Championship Rounds 9&10.

Treimanis was going really smooth on this challenging track with to Pro Section Straights. Saturday he took the win in the Latvian Championships Round 1 and also Sunday he was on top of the podium in the Riga Cup Race.

Next Race for him is the European Championships Rounds in Weiterstadt (Germany) next weekend.
