Treimanis takes win in Latvian BMX Grand Prix Round 3
Edzus Treimanis took the win in Latvia’s BMX Grand Prix Round 3 in his hometown Valmiera, part of a 6 round UCI Ranking 5 Series.
Edzus was extra motivated because also Olympic Champion Maris Strombergs was competing and was seeded in the same moto.
Edzus had some really close racing with Maris but managed to take the win in all three motos giving him the best gate pick in the main.
In the final it was the Olympic Champ who came fastest from the 8 meter starting hill, but in the first turn Edzus slid into the lead.
He kept his cool and took the win in the biggest Latvian race of the year.
