Edžus Treimanis Winner of BMX Grand Prix Latvia

Edžus Treimanis is the overall winner of the International 6 Round Series - BMX Grand Prix Latvia 2011.
The Final round of this UCI Class 5 race was in Riga. The new track built in Latvia’s capitol really challenging because of the big second straight jumps. The consistent rain in the week before the race made it even harder. Many riders were struggling with the track and only a few could clear it in the race.

Our Formula Europe rider managed to deal with it just fine and qualified as the favorite for the main, what allowed him to pick the inside lane. He took a decent gate in the final and did a smooth lap to take home the win of the last 2011 race in Latvia. 
With this victory, he also won the overall ranking of the grand prix.

2012 UEC Season Opener

Because 2012 is an Olympic year, the entire 2012 season was moved forward so they would finish before the Worlds that will be held in May. The 2012 opening weekend was held begin September 2011 in Valkenswaard (the Netherlands).

Lucie Meerholz was only racing on Sunday. She was eliminated in the semi with a 5th.

Jordy Agues had a flawless weekend in the Men 25/29 category. He took the win on both days.

2nd Place in Elite Men for Edzus Treimanis in Round 2 of the European Championships Series 2012

Team Manager Nico van Dartel took a 7th place on Sunday in the Men30+ category.
